Fall session registration is now under way! Session runs Sept 15-Nov 22. We hope you can join us!

Indoor Classes

Join us for our summer session!
Classes begin July 11.

We're excited to continue to offer indoor classes at 4 different sites in NE and SE Portland this summer! We are committed to doing our best to keep everyone healthy with air circulation and filtration and enhanced sanitation. We will keep windows (and doors, where available) open and air filters running continuously throughout classes. While not all of our classes will require masks, masks are always welcome in any class!

Fully Indoor Classes: Join us indoors this summer! We are committed to following these health and safety protocols indoors: larger classrooms where available, open windows and doors and good cross-ventilation, air purifiers with HEPA filters, and continuing to offer music-makers plenty of dance space.

Join us for indoor classes in NE at Fremont United Methodist Church or Ready Set GROW Yoga and Dance Studio. Our SE sites are Moreland Presbyterian Church or Waverly Church.

How will Indoor Classes work?

  • Classes will last 45 minutes.
  • All children attending class must be enrolled. No exceptions. Maximum 12 children per class, with smaller class sizes in smaller spaces.
  • Distancing There will be room to spread out in classes. Folks are welcome to move in a bit closer when invited by their teacher to do so (such as during a circle dance), or to remain in their own family space and modify activities according to their comfort.
  • Masking  Most of our classes this summer will be mask-optional, and masks are not required but are always welcome! In mask-required classes, we ask that adults and children over age 3 wear a mask. Teacher masking will be optional in mask-required classes.
  • Vaccinations All Music Together of Portland teachers have been vaccinated.
  • Instruments Your teacher will provide all instruments and musical props for use in class. Teachers will clean and sanitize used props and instruments between classes and/or at the end of the day.
  • Before you leave home... Please do a quick health assessment and stay home if you or anyone living in your home is not feeling well. We appreciate your commitment to helping keep everyone in our community as healthy as possible by follwing our family health protocols

  • Please stay home and contact us if anyone who attended class tests positive for COVID-19 within 48 hours of attending music class.

  • We will make every reasonable effort to hold all scheduled classes in-person. Should the need arise to cancel a class (e.g. due to teacher illness or inclement weather), we will notify families via email and text as soon as possible. Be sure to opt in to text notifications and check emails and texts the morning of class!
  • There will be no refunds or credits due to classes moving online. No refunds are given after the session begins.
  • During the registration process, families attending in-person classes will be required to agree to our Terms and Conditions, including a Liability Waiver, in order to attend.
