This spring, we'll bring the music right to you!

Join us for our spring session!
Classes begin April 8.

We will continue to offer a Music Together® Online class as long as community interest continues. All classes must meet minimum enrollment one week before the start of the session in order to run. Invite your friends and family to join with you in the musical fun online!
The Music Together program was first offered in Portland more than 20 years ago when our directors recognized their mutual passion for helping families discover the joy of making music as a family and with other members of their community. Since then, Music Together of Portland has placed the utmost value on in-person, community-oriented music classes. We believe that is the best way to experience music...TOGETHER!
However, during this unprecedented time in which in-person classes are not an option for some, we are excited to continue to bring The Joy of Family Music® right into your living room with Music Together Online!

What is included in Music Together Online?
- One small-group, interactive class via Zoom, every week with your teacher. Instead of going to your class once a week, your class will come to you--via computer, tablet, or phone! Weekly classes will last approximately 45 minutes.
- A new song collection (songbook, CD, download code) every semester for three years, featuring great arrangements of original and traditional songs in a wide variety of tonalities, meters, and cultural styles. You can choose to have your materials mailed to you by adding Shipping and Handling to your cart when you enroll. Porch pick-ups can also be arranged.
- A virtual community of families sharing songs, instrument play, rhythmic chants, and movement activities in a relaxed, playful, non-performance oriented setting.
- Music learned through developmentally appropriate activities that support and respect the learning styles of young children. Infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and big kids participate in their own ways, at their own levels.

We know screen time isn't generally recommended for the youngest in our age group, but here's the difference: YOU! When children stare at a screen and passively receive information, they don't take it in the same way, nor do they learn in the same way as when they have the active participation of a parent or caregiver. So, just like in our classrooms, you are still your child's most important music teacher. Your child will interact with their teacher and their classmates, but it is truly the interaction with you that will continue to support their musical development all week long. We'll give you lots of ideas for fun ways to play musically with the songs in your Music Together collection!
